Manufactures of Soft drink and other beverage products need a way to ensure that the overall colour of their products are the same from lot to lot.
Production changes can alter the base colour and the consumer predominately perceives:
· Different shades to be off and wrong colour
· Different colours could mean that it is a different drink
· An off colour product may perceive that the product is defect and of lower quality
